About Our Program:
Up-N-Swingin’ is a therapeutic program designed to inspire individuals through our personalized golf sessions. We do this by motivating personal faith in oneself to become confident in the process of the rehabilitation. There is NO need to have any previous experience with golf. The only requirement is that you keep an open mind and have a positive attitude. So, all individuals who have an interest in playing through adversity… this program is for you.
Up-N-Swingin’ golf programs differ from traditional golf programs in many ways:
•We focus on overall wellness rather than performance by providing golf as a vehicle towards rehabilitation.
•The instructors are not only certified but act as peer mentors who can share their personal experience about adversity to their clients.
•Up-N-Swingin’ collaborates with your current therapists or we will refer the proper specialist to meet your goals
Therapeutic Objectives:
The golf therapy program focuses on the unique needs of each individual by helping him or her achieve the highest possible level of independence.
Up-N-Swingin’ teams up with top rehabilitation centers in the Phoenix Valley to offer the clinical, technical and professional resources necessary to provide individualized treatment programs that promote progress towards an individual’s golfing endeavors.
Team Members May Include:•Physical Therapist – Works to improve mobility.
•Occupational Therapists – Improve daily motor skills.
•Physical Trainer – Works to improve strength and flexibility.
•PGA Golf Professional – Provides the bio mechanics of golf.

Admission:
Upon entering the program, individuals are requested to seek a physician’s referral. Following the referral there may be an evaluation by the therapist.
The individual will then be evaluated by a PGA golf professional to determine a suitable program.
Once the appropriate program is established all team members play an integral part in assisting in the outcome of the individual’s progress.
Payment:
For individuals with a disability or restriction, the medical services of the therapists are typically covered by commercial insurance after your deductible is met. Although, the golf sessions with a PGA golf professional are not covered through insurance.
Due to the number of insurance plans, we suggest that you contact your insurance company if you have a specific question regarding your coverage.
